In the name of God Amen. I William Ball of the parish of Thrushelton in the county of Devon being of a sound disposing mind memory and understanding thanks be to Almighty God for the same and considering the uncertainty of this transitory life do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say First I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Elizabeth Andrew Mann the sum of Ten Pounds lawful money of Great Britain to be paid her by my executors hereinafter mentioned when my Son William Henry Ball attains the age of twenty one years Also I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Eliza Dinishia Ball the sum of Fifty pounds lawful money as aforesaid to be paid her by my executors when my Son William Henry Ball attains the age of twenty one years Also I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Mary Ann Ball the sum of Eighty pounds of lawful money as aforesaid to be paid her by my executors when my Son William Henry Ball attains the age of twenty one years Also I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Maria Agnes Ball the sum of Eighty pounds lawful money as aforesaid to be paid her by my executors when my Son William Henry Ball attains the age of twenty one years Also I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Louisa Catherine Ball the sum of Eighty pounds lawful money as aforesaid to be paid her by my executors when my Son William Henry Ball attains the age of twenty one Lastly I give and bequeath unto my dearly beloved Wife Elizabeth Knighton Ball and my Son William Henry Ball all the rest residue and remainder of my Goods Chattells Monies Debts or Securities for money Household Goods and furnishings or any thing that I shall die possessed of or entitled unto whatsoever or whensoever received as aforesaid and I hereby nominate constitute and ordain my said beloved Wife Executive and my said Son William Henry Ball Executor jointly of this my last Will and Testament And be it observed that the portion of my property which I have bequeathed as aforesaid unto my said beloved wife Elizabeth Ball is only given to her during the course of her natural life, and I further order and direct that after her decease every thing she may die possessed of shall return to my said Son William Henry Ball or if my said beloved Wife should at any time get married then the portion of my aforesaid property which I have given and bequeathed unto her shall likewise immediately return to my said Son William Henry Ball and she shall have no further power or claim to anything that I shall have died possessed of or that I have herein given and bequeathed unto her herein my will that if it should happen that either of my aforesaid Daughters should die before they attain the age of twenty years then the Legacy which I had given and bequeathed unto them shall return to my said Son William Henry Ball and further if in case that my said Son William Henry Ball should die before he attains the age of twenty one years then the portion of my property which I have bequeathed unto him shall return to my remaining Daughters and be divided among them in equal proportions And I also order and direct that my said Executors shall maintain and support my said Daughter Louisa Catherine Ball until she attains the age of twenty one years (if not married) Finally I hereby nominate constitute and appoint Mr Thomas Clatworthy of the parish of Lewtrenchard in the county of Devon and Mr Thomas Palmer of the parish of Thrushelton Divers Executors in Trust for my said children and they to manage my affairs for the benefit of my said children in the best manner they may think proper In Witness whereof I the said testator to this my last Will and Testament have set my hand and seal the ninth day of September one thousand eight hundred and forty seven.
